Juan Soto is mid defense. Hot bat and running speed. Youth and presence in a lineup. More than 400 mil is overpaying

Ohtani pulls in all of Japan and stuff, also pitches. Soto is a good hitter, terrible fielder. Doesn’t deserve anywhere near ohtani money

Ohtani lives off his endorsement money and the Dodgers are supplemented by Japanese fans who cross the ocean to buy Dodger and Ohtani gear. Boras won’t want Soto’s contract deferred and Soto’s value as such is nowhere near Ohtani for the Dodgers.

Mookie’s grab off the wall from Verdugo’s hit was one of the best plays you’ll ever see from a right fielder. Unlike my Yankees, the Dodgers can handle a roster with players with similar skill sets, so they have a lot of options for next season.

If the Dodgers sign Soto it will kill fan interest. No one outside of LA is going to watch if it feels inevitable the super team with 39 MVPs is just going to win the WS year after year
