Yankees could easily be up 2-0 right now. They really screwed themselves on so many levels. Leading game 1 in the last at-bat in the ninth inning and they lose on a grand slam. In game 2, they had the bases loaded in the ninth and the batter hit the ball pretty hard but right at Edman.

If Soto will take deferred money, then go after him. If not, he is too expensive. Dodgers are in great shape as long as they have pitching. Pitching wins championships. The lineup is already stacked.

Soto is not Dodger material – he has some issues in my opinion . Can’t see him fitting in with Ohtani , Freeman , Betts , Kershaw, etc.

The only reason Soto to LA makes any sense at all, is if they also keep Teo and plan on moving Mookie back to 2nd base. Yes, it would be a salary extravaganza…but maybe they’re trying to maximize Ohtani’s deferred salary as much as possible. They actually have a lot of pitchers once everyone returns and Ohtani joins the staff.
