As a lover of thailand and its people, less mainland Chinese tourists is a good thing. They generally don’t follow rules, they’re rude, they leave trash everywhere, they don’t respect queues. They are better than the Israeli tourists, but that isn’t really saying much.
My family in Malaysia have been visiting Thailand frequently but stop going due to legalisation of drugs which creates serious concerns for families. All it takes is somebody to slip a packet of drugs into your luggage or hand carry & we’re screwed for life as Malaysia do not tolerate narcotics smuggling. Also, spiking drinks became more frequent due to widespread cannabis usage & easy sales. With cannabis comes shaddy people in the country. That is a big turn off for families & their safety.
