Once the government destroys “the goose that lays the golden eggs” tourist revenue from 420 will dry up in Thailand!
The vast majority of people responding positively to banning weed seem to be the boomers who’ve had a great time exploiting Thailand’s people when they were at their poorest. The kind of people who made streets upon streets of prostitution and people slaving away for western tourists for 15 usd/ day a normal way of life, who spent decades covering Thailand’s streets in vomit and rubbish, and who now complain they’ll never return every time the value of the baht goes up etc.
I hope the Thai people can see this. I hope they see who they’re catering to while they give up their successful, independent businesses that allow them to serve the market from closer to home and give them more time and money to spend with family etc. This is hurting Thai people to benefit the people who only ever wanted to come because they could exploit the Thai people.
The guy arrested crying it was for a meme, was arrested for other things, border patrol has tweeted this, typical leftist lying to gain compassion
Well you both have your opinions although having recently spent time in Thailand I can tell you that I mixed with a lot of expats and others who in there opinions also cant stand the constant smell of weed in the soi. I personally stayed 5 floors above a weed shop and the smell was constant throughout the hotel, not to mention the super loud music about 10 hours during the evening and night, not impressed. If somebody wants to smoke it, how about indoors and have consideration for others.
You reported on your channel that majority if the Thai population does not want cannabis sold in Thailand. Expats opinions on this are simpply not relevant, this is their home.
The flavoured Kratom drinks are terribly underdosed. There is a legal limit to what amount of mitroganine allowed in the branded products. Way below a recreational dose. The street vendors are the real deal.
Yes Kratom is not for children, it is an addictive opiate and in spite of being a very mild opiate should not be available to kids.
I love Thailand but one thing I really dislike is how rules can change when a new person comes into power.
Thanks for the report. The change in the law is a bit ridiculous considering how much money has been poured into the cannabis industry, not just from Thailand but from other investors around the world. I think, looking ahead, with potential casinos in mind, investors will be very cautious for many years or decades about whether to invest in Thailand or elsewhere. I can imagine this will have a major impact. Keep up the good work!
How is this crackdown supposed to work? All the shops as of today supposed to shut down? Does this rule take i effect today?
