Freemans banger in game 1 is not only the best moment of the year. But damn if it wasn’t one of baseballs most iconic/memorable moments of all time. In a sport remembered by specific moments, it is definitely worthy of being up there with Thompsons pennet clinching Hr, Gibsons game 1 Hr, and Buckners nightmare in NY. It also couldn’t have happened to a greater person in Freddie Freeman. Even as a Dodgers fan who has watched him play in the blue for years now. It’s still bizarre to see him NOT in a Braves uniform. I will never understand why the hell they let him go. It will never make sense. Ever.

1) that game was awesome and so was the ceremony. 2) clearly the stats shouldn’t have been nor should they be incorporated- it was a different lg. it’s one of the greatest tragedies in baseball that we never got to see those incredible athletes compete with major lg athletes, especially over something as stupid as segregation. That doesn’t mean that the stats shouldn’t be incorporated as if they are the same thing. Gibson did not hit 962 big lg home runs and trying to erase history by pretending what he did is somehow the same isn’t noble, nor is it “justice” it’s a lazy attempt to make people feel better about history.

L for Lana. How Can you be OK Incorporating negro league statistics and major league baseball statistics ?
It’s separate for a reason and it’s a shame but that’s the way it is. You might as well start incorporating
AAA statistics

What Ohtani accomplished is great. But still a DH. The other players in that catergory played the field on defense sweating there ass off in the summer every inning. Ohtani was on the field 4 /5 ABs per game. that 20-30 mins on the field total. while sitting on his ass between ABs..players play defense 9 IP plus there ABs. thats going to affect your offensive output.

On that 6-6 night for Ohtani, the Ms put a position player in the last AB. You just knew Ohtani was going to hit a moonshot and he did.

In that 5th inning in the WS, Kike doesn’t get enough credit for making that inning happen. He hustled to second on Judges drop and forced a bad throw to third getting a good jump to third.
