Coming all the way back to win the series is still quite an uphill battle. The Dodgers are a great team, and their lineup especially is loaded top to bottom with a combination of elite level star power at the top of the order, and guys who take big league ABs, and make pitchers challenge them with strikes at the bottom. Winning the next 2 games at their ballpark is going to be incredibly difficult to pull off.

But regardless of what happens from here, i am incredibly proud of this team and all theyve already accomplished this season. They dug out of an enormous hole, and made a deeper run than i ever thought they could this season, and they did it by never quitting and overcoming any and all adversity they faced. I dont want it to end just yet, but ive enjoyed the ride that is the 2024 Mets immensely, and am incredibly excited for the rest of this postseason but also for years to come. They have the best owner in baseball, an elite PBO running the org in David Stearns, and a whopping 170 million dollsrs coming off their payroll after the season to retool and add to whats already an excellent core of players. Good times both now and in the future for my Mets, which isnt something we as fans could often say over the years.
