Oh my God what a barrage of excuse makers I’m reading here. I half expected it. Sorry boys but it doesn’t seem like I’m going to be able to listen to this one. Bottom line don’t wait until the 9th inning to start to wake up your bats. Get a grip

Dave Roberts does not have a full grasp of the plethora of scenarios in situational baseball and thus he is incapable of thinking on the fly in order to arrive at the most strategically sound and correct decision in a timely fashion.
That was disappointing!
Better 9th-inning possibilities: (1) Miguel Rojas “gets hit” by pitch, and takes 1 for the team, (2) Bunt Sac and move 2 over, (3) Long fly out, scores 1 more, (4) Get a base HIT yourself, and score more than just one. The point is: even if SD walks Ohtani they get Betts, then Freeman. Out of the frying pan, and into the fire. It was Miguel Rojas’ #1 job (Top priority Task) to ensure that Ohtani and then hopefully, Betts and Freeman, get a fair chance to bat in that “Bottom of the 9th Inning decisive drama!!!”
Robert’s strategy was a mistake.
