Ohtani is that superstar athlete that has the brains to go with the brawn. That 99% of athletes don’t have but you always wish they did. He gets at least $65M in endorsements a year. He deferred most of his money so that it ensures he’s on a winning team for the rest of his playing career and a guaranteed pension after he retires and the endorsement deals start to go down. And he save huge dollars on taxes. Earning CA wages but not paying CA taxes. Shrewd man, very shrewd man. But 99% of athletes don’t think this way, they want all the money now at the expense of their team. They blow their money on stupid cars, too big of a house, and they end up on a losing team cuz they’re sucking up all the money.

He also performed well in the American League, a much stronger league, but in the lower league, the National League, that’s for sure. I recommend future major leaguers to play in a weak league
