Emergency Episode: Shohei Ohtani (大谷翔平) Out For Season | Flippin’ Bats
Will Shohei Ohtani still be the AL MVP?
Here’s hoping for a continued healing for Shohei Ohtani! It was, is and will continue to be fun watching him on baseball, , , we will be waiting, , , 頑張ってください小谷さん!!!
And as usual, nothing but weirdness around the Angels.
This could have been a very simple, and even expected, announcement
But they empty his locker, let the media see, and then let it be weird for a day. When none of that was necessary.
I am done being in Angel’s fan. It’s not worth it.
There’s no reason to watch the Angels anymore. I’ll wait until postseason starts to watch baseball again.
I don’t know if this is true. Someone posted saying an inside source said as Shohei was cleaning his locker, a team mate farted in Shohei’s face, then all the other guys laughed. Shohei didn’t think it was funny.
As I said, I go where Shohei Ohtani goes! He deserves a WS win!
Yes, this reporting came somewhat suddenly, but I agree that shutting down now is probably the right decision. Bad news, but not totally surprising. He had an MRI that showed continuing irritation in the right oblique, and he has apparently decided to focus completely on his decision regarding the UCL injury. More opinions, more discussion, then some action on the procedure that can fix that UCL tear. I’m a little disappointed that Shohei hasn’t made a press appearance to speak for himself, even though I know he is still in the mode of figuring out what he wants to do after consulting with doctors, agent, etc. I guess we’ll know fairly soon what he chooses to do. But I think he’s still the clear MVP choice for this year.
