The days of legal recreational cannabis use in Thailand may soon be coming to end, barely two years after it became the first South East Asian country to decriminalize the drug. The Thai Cabinet will review a draft law this month with an aim to ban recreational use by the end of the year, impacting thousands of businesses. Paul Allen has more.
Last time I was there it was annoying. Other tourirsts smoking everywhere. Can hardly enjoy the beaches, or go for hike without smelling a skunks ass. At minimum ban the public smoking of it, edibles, i dont care.
All those stores will empty forever.
That’s bs. There’s another agenda. It’s a contract based decision. Supposedly for public health reasons. If that were the case then cigarettes also need a ban, not to mention alcohol and all the other pharmaceuticals readily available at their pharmacies.
Dumbasses
Alcohol and cigarettes are arguably worse.
Why
They are right. Cannabis should only be medical if anything. If ur a man and dont need it then better dont use weed. Studies show it decreases testosterone.
Good to focus on medical, should always be the main focus.
Unfortunately this is not the way to go, if you want to reduce the ‘illicit’ market. It takes 4 -5 years, under clunky legislation/regulation and bad rollout of legal production.
