Hopefully a good middle ground takes place. I don’t use: Here in Canada cannabis products are legally available just like alcohol and that seems mostly accepted.
It’s a cash grab to line doctors pockets. It won’t be enforced, just like prostitution isn’t enforced at all in Thailand.
It’s political the opposite and supporter will find every issue to intercept.
What do you think will happen with some of the commercially well known dispos that have popped up in BKK like Cookies and Green House Seed Co.? Major investment in the dispos and huge growing facilities have already been established.
this is sad!!
I think people will stop going to Thailand because of it . I go to Bangladesh big smokers there .
I don’t smoke it, I chew small amounts to relax in the evenings, but TBH, when I’m in public, I’d MUCH rather have to deal with weed smoke than gawd d*mn cigarette smoke. They need to get real. Cancer sticks and alcohol – OK, but weed? Just my opinion.
If the THC becomes the bad kid on the block then the logical equivalent you’d imagine is alcohol. But no talk about prohibition of alcohol. The difference may be ideological in nature. Alcohol dulls the mind whilst it is claimed THC activates the mind and linked to the hallucinogen botanicals. So THC may make citizens restless and go on a path of delinquency or even advocate for top down political reforms. Hence THC is most likely to be prohibited for recreation. It may stem from a theory in philosophy known as innate ideas which entails that liberty may be innate and so top down political structures tend to frown on this as bad for the public good given liberty is individualistic by nature.
