The non-Thai foreigners/foreign investment, who may be, or are communists funding these proposed casinos, will be able to own the land the casinos will be built on? Also did the cannabis licenses granted so far ever stipulate the inclusion of raids, or future raids for cannabis businesses complying before the “laws” change w/out Parliament’s consent?

Hell, you can legalize anything. Mushrooms? You really believe weed tourism is a solution? Certainly does not serve the official family tourism objectives stated by Thai authorities. Farmers grow lots of different stuff. Poppies, too. As mentioned, Casinos are also a corrosive solution. Think about supporting Thai silk and fashion design sector as a culturally rich and unique sector in the kingdom as Jim Thompson had envisioned and started. Subsidize it, promote it, and market it on the international stage. By 2030 the Royal Kingdom could emerge as a serious & highly profitable player with its integrity and its identity intact. On the contrary, manufacturing instant money out of speculation and non-productive wagering leads you where? to a faceless, morally bankrupt form of ‘recreation’ that produces absolutely nothing of tangible value other than ledger profits. Or launch a dignified and authentic form of competitive wagering like thoroughbred racing. There lineages of fine horses are cultivated for the world to admire on the racetrack and to celebrate and to profit by.

Regarding the casinos, why would anyone invest as they could ban them whenever they want. They have just done that with the weed shops and investors, doesn’t give a good impression for investors
