Now I totally get why some expats last a few years then leave for other countries. It has nothing to do with cannabis by the way. A culture that has difficulty with critical thinking and a lack of ability to plan ahead is what drives many people nuts. Just make an effn plan and vet it then implement it then…leave it alone. Jeeze.

I don’t and have never smoked or used cannabis – but I must say that this constant shifting and changing, humming and hawing, hinting and sign-posting of a change in policy regarding cannabis usage and sale is ridiculous. No one knows where they stand! This is utter idiocy, in my opinion. And I truly have no ‘dog in the fight’. Personally, it makes zero difference to me whether cannabis can be freely used or not, is legal or not – but it is the principle behind it all which is so important. There should be clarity, and there should be reasons given (sound reasons) for any decision finally made. This to-ing and fro-ing is just getting on everyone’s nerves (I suspect) and is benefiting no one (well, perhaps only a few …).

By the way, if they made it back to a narcotic then that’s the start of locking people back up in prison, which is quite the draconian act for a plant that’s pure medicine.
But it’s revenue for the prison complex and that’s just plain evil and makes no sense.
