In 2022, Thailand had a radical rethink about its hardline approach to drugs and became the first Asian nation to legalise cannabis. A raft of cafes and dispensaries popped up since.
Less than two years later, however, the Thai government announced it would reverse the policy and ban the recreational use of marijuana by the end of 2024.
